What do you wish for: PibbleDip (Ea)
🕑 Added 2025-05-03 01:26:45 +0000 UTCHolding the ticket in their hands, PibbleDip closes their eyes and begins to think about appearing before the genie. The number 163 appears on the ticket, and PibbleDip is instantly teleported in front of a genie.
“Hello, PibbleDip! Welcome to my mystical space! Here dreams come true thanks to these awesome orbs. To get your dream fulfilled, all you need to do is tell me what it is, and I’ll go find it.” With that, the genie waits to hear their wish.
"I wish I could help the girls basketball team beat the cocky boys team!" PibbleDip said, sounding as if the boys basketball team had personally wounded them. “Yeah? I can definitely do that, but you do understand what that’ll mean, right?” The genie says.
PibbleDip nods and says any changes are good as long as they’re good at basketball and beat the boys’ team time. The genie smiles. “I understand. Hold still while I go get an orb that’ll do just that.” The genie floats into the air and flies off into the distance.
She returns a few minutes later holding an orb that has a basketball pattern on it. “Pretty easy to find since it looks like a basketball. I wish they were all that easy…. Hey, there’s probably an orb around her that does that.”
The genie says, getting a bit sidetracked. She snaps back to the situation at hand. “Oh right. Here you go.” She says as she places the orb in PibbleDip’s hand. “This orb will activate when I send you back to your world.”
The genie says as she lifts her hand. “It’ll rewrite your history, only changing things mildly. So you’ll still be you, but you’ll end up being great at basketball and eligible to play on the girls’ team. So you’ll be able to show those boys who’s boss.”
The genie then snaps her fingers and suddenly Pibble finds herself standing in the gym at her school, and behind her, the sounds of many basketballs hitting the floor. Pibble turns around to find fourteen girls running around practicing.
Pibble finds herself wondering if her wish had come true or if she was just daydreaming. She normally spent time in the gym watching the teams practice since they were all friends, but if her wish came true, that would mean she’d be in a basketball uniform.
Pibble looks down to see she was wearing a basketball jersey with the number two on it. She could even see her chest was now sticking out a bit, which confirmed it. Pibble was a girl now and a part of the basketball team.
As Pibble sat there excited, a basketball rolled to her feet. “Hey Pibble, grab the ball and get in here. We only have a couple of hours before we take on the boys team, and as our star player, you should be out here practicing as well.”
Pibble nodded and grabbed the ball. She ran out into the court, dribbling the ball and starting to play a practice game with her team. At first it was a little slow as Pibble wasn’t sure what she was doing, but as time went on, it was like her instincts took over.
Her body knew how to move, and her mind knew what she had to do at any given moment. It was truly amazing, and she was undoubtedly very good. After practice, the team went and showered off and got into their game jerseys and waited for the boys team to arrive.
Since this game was sort of a big deal, the principal had turned it into an event and allowed other students and parents to attend and to be there to support their favorite teams. Once the game started, the boys' team took a big lead.
However, around the halfway mark, Pibble started to move into action and was stealing the ball and making score after score. Thanks to her skill and some awesome teamwork, they managed to tie it in no time. Then it came down to the final minutes of the game.
Pibble was starting to get exhausted, and the boys team noticed that and decided it was a good time to get even more cocky than they normally were. They got ahead in score, then started to tease the girls with the ball, but that was their own undoing.
Pibble got the ball and made an amazing shot from across the court, netting her team three points for the win. Her team ran up to her and started to celebrate while the boys sulked on the sidelines. Pibble was so happy for her win and her wish, and she was excited for the many more games to come.

agent L.O.W. thoughts I was on board a spatial submarine belonging to looking A.N.W…. hands moved on their own, separately from thoughts, filling out another future report, filling out one item on the mandatory list after another and carefully masking information about the 163rd wish... and my thoughts at that moment were very far away... I'm no longer sure that I did the right thing by telling Adrian everything I learned during the preliminary investigation... in fact, I had no moral right to hide from him the fact that, in fact, his homeland still exists and that his long-dead friends live there... but at the same time, I understood what consequences my frankness could lead to... so, in fact, the fact that Adrian almost died is my fault... fortunately, everything worked out and now everything is relatively good with him, but everything could have ended differently... however, he is still unconscious and when he will come to, I don’t know... and you can’t use classical methods of slowing down time, his body is too vulnerable in its current state... in general, I had to strain myself to find a way to distort the course of time without magic or technology, but I still succeeded... I looked out the window, there was a huge black hole slowly and majestically rotating in the accretion disk of which we were now... although in fact everything is MUCH worse and scarier... we are now moving only slightly slower than the speed of light and are rotating at the very edge of the event horizon of a supermassive black hole... if it were not for the "space-time curvature of reality" (damn it for its complexity) we would be atomized... or our time would slow down to an almost complete stop, but thanks to this device we remain alive and our internal time has accelerated by several orders of magnitude! and this is wonderful! Unless, of course, you look out the porthole on the left side, where you can see a couple of hundred of our earlier versions... yeah, we are, in fact, in a time loop... horror!... that's why I try to immerse myself in work! While you work and calculate, it’s not so scary… because in fact, what separates us from instant and very painful death is the functionality of the device, the control exam of which I failed 9 times, and the walls made of an extremely rare alloy 250 millimeters thick… what could go wrong!?
