My Mother Decided She Wanted A Girl: Pt9
🕑 Added 2025-02-25 00:11:20 +0000 UTCLucius continued through his first day at his new school, doing his best to fly under the radar, which was hard when he was the new girl at school and everyone wanted to meet him. Luckily, all the teachers told the students to give him time to adjust and not overwhelm him on the first day.
So he was able to get past most of his morning classes, English, history, and art, which he found to be a bit fun, and finally he just finished up his math class. He was now heading to the cafeteria to eat lunch.
Lucius went to a table far away from everyone else and unpacked his lunch. He hated being here and eating like a kid, but he was hungry, and he knew they wouldn’t let him eat anywhere else. So his plan was to eat quickly and try to continue to look for ways out of his situation.
Unfortunately, he didn’t predict how nice his fellow students were, and they saw a lonely new girl who needed a friend. So a small group of girls came over and sat down right next to her. “Hey new girl, I’m Peridot; what’s your name?”
Said a brown-haired girl with pigtails. “Oh… Uh…” Lucius was panicked; he wasn’t prepared to be speaking to anyone. “She’s in my homeroom class. Her name is Luci... Lucina River, right?” A girl with long black hair said.
Lucius recognized her; she was in his homeroom class this morning, and he was pretty sure she was the one who passed him the note. “Uh… actually it’s Lu... Lucina Rover..." Lucius said shyly, as he was too embarrassed to use his real name.
“Oh! I’m sorry, I get mixed up sometimes. Anyway, nice to meet you, Lucy! I’m Elisa.” Elisa stood up, leaned over the table, and put her hand out. Lucius looked at her confused, but it was clear she wanted to shake his hands.
Lucius gave in and took her hand in his and let her shake it. “Uh… yeah… Nice to meet you as well... Oh, and you to Peridot, and... I’m sorry... I didn’t catch your name.” Lucius said as he looked at a girl who had blonde hair that covered one of her eyes.
“Oh! Right. I’m Stacy.” She said as she smiled. “Oh, nice to meet you as well, Stacy... So… Is there anything I can help you all with?” Lucius asked as Elisa continued to shake her hand. Peridot and Stacy looked at each other and shrugged.
“Not really; we just wanted to meet you and become your friend. So now we’ll just hang out.” Peridot said, very casually. “Like all the time, so get used to it; no more being shy; you have friends.” Stacy said while winking; at least Lucius thought she was winking, but he could only see one of her eyes.
Lucius let out an awkward laugh. He had managed to make three friends without even trying, which sounds like a good thought until you remember what position he was in. Lucius gave in; at the very least they would help him maintain a normal cover.
Lucius knew his mother had spies reporting everything he did back to her. He didn’t think the students would be in on it, but better safe than sorry. So no matter who’s watching him, they’ll feed her the false information that she’s being an obedient daughter.
Lucius looked down at his hand and realized Elisa was still holding it, but instead of shaking it, she was looking down at it confused. “Uh… is everything okay? Can I have my hand back?” He said, feeling a bit worried that she perhaps could tell he was a guy because of his hand.
She let go. "Oh, sorry. It’s just your hand.” Elisa said as she looked at it. “My hand?” Lucius said, trying to hide his worry. "Yeah, it’s not like mine at all." Elisa said as she stared down at her own. Lucius’ heart started to beat like crazy, and he worried he had already blown his cover.
“What’s wrong with Lucy’s hand?” Stacy said as she nibbled on her sandwich. Lucius looked over at Stacy. She was already using a nickname for her. Lucius then looked back at Elisa, wondering how he could stop her from blowing his cover and getting him in so much trouble.
“Well Elisa? Spill the beans!” Peridot said before sipping on her milk. “Oh right. Her hands—they're so soft. Like ten times softer than mine." Elisa said, sounding impressed. The whole table got silent, and Lucius felt his manhood truly break.
A girl just told him he had soft hands, softer than hers. Everyone looked at Lucius and seemed to not believe it. “Well, we’ll see about that.” Peridot said as she stood up. “Wait, if everyone else is holding Lucy’s hand, I want to as well.” Stacy said standing up as well.
Each one of them grabbed one of Lucius’ hands and shook it, all while Lucius sat there frozen, feeling like he just shattered apart. He should have been relieved that they didn’t figure it out; it was what he wanted a minute ago, but this being the reason hurt his male pride deeply.
Both girls let go of her hands and sat back down. “You’re right. They’re so soft.” Stacy said. “How… How did you get them like that? You have to tell us, Lucy!” Peridot said it sounded quite serious, like it was a life-or-death situation for her.
Lucius sunk down on the table. The very worst thing about this was he didn’t even know why his hands were so soft. “It has to be some special lotion, right? Does your mom get it for you?” Elisa asked. Lucius sat up, suddenly remembering something.
The soap in his bathroom at home has lotion mixed into it to help keep your hands healthy; they must be what made her hands so soft. His mother had started getting it a few years ago, completely out of the blue.
Lucius felt a little disturbed that his mother possibly got it in order to give him softer skin, but he couldn't deny the lotion in the soap helped a lot. Before she got it, he always had dry skin that would split and bleed, which hurt.
Maybe a part of her got it to help him, to make him feel better, but in her own twisted way. “So Lucy? Are you going to tell us?” Peridot said, still seeming like she seriously needed to know the answer. “Oh right. I think it’s the hand soap we use at home. It has lotion in it.”
Lucius said as he rubbed the back of his head. “Oh, that makes sense, so you use it every time you go to the bathroom; no wonder why they’re so soft.” Elisa said as she took a bite of her apple. “You’ll have to tell us the brand so we can get some at our houses as well.” Stacy said.
“O… Okay… I’ll check tonight…” Lucius said, and for some reason, being serious about checking. After saying that they all finished up their lunches, the bell for the next class rang. “The next bell already?” Lucius said as he realized he missed a chance to look for a way out.

I understand all to well that keeping friends can be really hard, especially since people can also change suddenly or hate you in an instant. I am glad to see Lucy make friends, even if the situation is a bit odd.

Wow! wow... You know, I'm even a little jealous of Luci, she made friends so easily... In fact, it's because they think she's the same age as them, but it doesn't matter, because she has friends! Unfortunately, as the years go by, it's getting harder to find friends, and old friends can just get lost... And you draw, sooner or later you'll be alone... And I should also note that they find topics for conversation very easily, for example, it takes me time to come up with a new topic for conversation, but for them it comes easy, the word goes without saying!!!... Damn, I really envy how easy it is for them to communicate with each other now!
