🕑 Added 2024-12-03 17:12:26 +0000 UTCAlright here's Raven. Her design is predominantly based on her original TT design mixed with an early 2000's scene aesthetic. I think I got the essence of her down pretty well, a jaded tired appearance but with a look of 'cuteness', but you be the judge I might be wrong.
I mulled over her body design for a while and ultimately decided on the look you see here. Her breasts are larger than Starfire's as stated previously but overall she is shorter, skinnier and less muscular than Starfire(she has some muscle by virtue of training but her style of combat isn't particularly athletic hence I didn't give her that dieseled look). Her design is matched to Starfire in terms of style which in future should allow for animations and stills to have the possibility of both of them in the same shot.
I'm very proud of the skin here as I've never actually painted/ made skin for such a pale person before(Thrawn when I made him was darker by example, if I was to modulate princess bubblegum's skin same thing), I've come to realize usually women I make have more melanin or a tan so the skin looked off for a while as my normal workflow didn't work. I was getting a 'corpse' look that was quite annoying and had to experiment, scrap and tweak until I got a good result. Now I like it I think. Here's the progression->
at the end you can see I hue shifted and added detail after I fixed the 'corpse look.
The hair is pretty simple but I got a better understanding of hair layering for sure.
She's animation ready. I have a turnaround for the outfits I made for her in her folder -> MEGA
As for the short, two positions tied so i'll do both, one transitioning into another. I'll be sending of the script by the end of the week.
Back to Beast Boy, im working on her showcase in tandum & an animated pinup. Short should be out in January.
P.S. I'll release small animations later in the month as I want a higher output; small PB animation, a simple but fappable hera animation ("blowjob"ish type animation) & the showcase for Raven. I'm having the Hera set revoiced as I phonetically don't like the way the first actor sounded for the character(don't need it for the small animation though)

Thank you. I see what you saying with the second picture, I think the 'squareness', you're referring to is from the bounce light off the cape framing the underside of jaw more than any other portion of the face thus creating a boxed look. I don't mind it but I see where you're coming from.

Great Contrast between the warm and shiny Starfire to this grimy and tired looking raven. The facial details really selling it, traumatic memories oozing off of her like an oily film. Probably my fav design of yours. Having said that the second pictures camera angle feels off as her face seems very square in that one. Tho maybe I'm alone in that thought. Anyway, good luck with the project
