The show gets more serious as it goes on. The worst part of One Piece is probably its early era imo but the show gradually becomes more serious and most people will attest to its quality as a story. It's also great for theory-crafting. And yes, Pluribus is really hot right now. People would absolutely love to see it

Honestly, i’d believe if you stick through the early stages, you really would like this show. it has very deep storytelling and lots of foreshadowing and has an insane amount of lore. so it’s not all comedy and rainbows lol. this show has hella serious topics and themes
