I feel like im becoming that know it all in the comments but fuck it: The reasons pimps, to this day in the USA, wear lots of gold jewlery and expensive fur coats. Is because when they are arrested, cash is always confiscated. But, clothes and jewlery have to be returned. Resulting in the PIMP stereotype we know and love
