I'm finally getting a chance to write a follow-up adventure for the Gargoyle Cathedral adventure I wrote about a month ago. In that adventure, "quantum-locked gargoyles" use their magic touch to send the adventurers back in time. I swear this has nothing to do with mysterious, two-hearted alien that travel through time and space in a magical blue box!
The adventure sends them to a version of the cathedral ruined by war, years before local priests returned it to its former glory.
I don't want to use the gargoyles again, so I need a new foe to feature in this forgotten temple. But what?

I voted for Celestials because I love the idea of an evil version of something that's assumed to be good.
Itβd would be rad if it was a tie in that these celestials became the gargoyles. During this ravage of war theyβre transformed or something.
