Ae

Almost forgot bout the smell!!!

Liandrin Kamiya

We’ve gotten Kishiar POV a few times before in this novel, though, so maybe we’ll get it again :)

Marie

Also Kishiar living with the knowledge that any version of him was a source of dread and anguish for Yuder.

Arilyn Hanagoori

Maybe Kishiar is sad not only because he understands his past self’s actions, but also sees how much it ended up hurting Yuder too. So his past actions born out of love may have been the wrong way to handle things.

GG

He looked sad :(

Also I think it’s undeniable that past Kishiar loved yuder, but then what was with the sneaking in the Calvary just have sex with Yuder then leave? Doesn’t seem very considerate of Yuder…unless this too was him trying to save himself. Maybe he discovered that their connection makes him more stable? Guys there is so much still I want to find out this novel has me hooked

RoseofAsh

What if Kishiar did necromancy on himself to try and save his own life but the results were horrific, leading him to let Yuder kill him? Idk man I’m curious to find out but I really think your comment is on to something especially with Yuder smelling the horrific stench from the hand dream

Mir

I think Kishiar understands his past self more than he lets on, because he knows how he himself would react or think. He knows how he would long for Yuder while he also tries to push him away to protect him. Kishiar is smart enough to guess what would have happened if A) his vessel cracked a second time, and B) he felt the same draw to Yuder he does now.

I want you to be right tbh 💔 . In a few chapters we get more insight from kish2.0. And i get the sense he doesnt trust his darker self either, but the shadows of the past (which seem darker and sader than ever) bum me out so hopefully im just overthinking and projecting 🕊 🕊 🕊

Léonie

I honestly think old Kishiar never intended to harm Yuder. Kishiar cannot be vengeful toward Yuder for murdering him : he didn’t even struggle when Yuder came to kille him moreover he most probably loved Yuder. My theory is that it was all calculated: being killed by Yuder was the best outcome for both of them. Kishiar would get to be with the one he loved in his last moments (and not explose because of his cracked vessel) and would protect Yuder while doing so (Yuder was known as his lover/ the lover of a traitor so it would have shown Yuder’s loyalty to Katchian and so protected him). And at last, we don’t know what really happened, Yuder isn’t even sure when he plunged the sword in Kishiar’s chest because he was disoriented because of the links getting cut. But what if Yuder in the end was incapable of killing him and Kishiar used his pull power to do it himself ? In short Kishiar cannot harm Yuder, I am convinced

Diana.

I also want this to happen, but most likely we won't see it because everything is narrated from Yuder's perspective. I think the story won't work if the pov shifts coz the point of all the mystery is that Yuder had a limited perspective all this time.

I wonder if we’ll get more Kishiar POV regarding the past self that Yuder knew and what he thinks happened. I wonder if Kishiar would ever meet his past self (maybe in one of these dreams). It’s all so very sad. That previous game was such a tragedy.

Communication... I love it

Okay i could be overthinking but the intent thing is plucking at me.. old kish may never have "intended" to cause harm ..ever.. but he did and he didnt seem all that bothered by it. The author also reminds us of those necromantic texts that both kish versions would have and did have access to. Now we know that kish2.0 admitted to being desperate to live while stricken with the wasting disease of his youth. So I could easily see that desire getting twisted into something truly nasty especially with the aid of dark forbidden shenanigans. 🚫!! I also think that much as we all know our own demons best kish2.0 is very much aware of how dark is dark side really is which is why i sometimes get the sensation of guilt and overcompensation from some of his interactions with yuder. Theres an old expression from my lot that roughly translates into english as (one of the hardest facts to accept in this life is that the gteatest cruelties are commited not by ppl who intend you harm but by those who just dont give a sh1t if they hurt you or not). FYI btw i really hope im wrong and this whole thing is just a nasty brain fart on an overstressed exhausted mind 😉 the alternative zombie-lich connotations are freakin and creeping me the hell out !! 😱 🤢 💀 ☠️ 👎
