'My neck hurts so much...'
He lay back down and waited for the pain to subside before finally gathering himself. As he approached the dressing table, his eyes widened. There were hideously dark blue bruises left on his neck. It was so severe that anyone would recognize it as the neck of someone who had been badly strangled, making it impossible for him to even think of going out for a while. When he carefully tried to speak, a very hoarse sound came out with the pain, making him shut his mouth tightly.
He sat in front of the dressing table, carefully examining his neck, but at some point, his mind went blank. Slowly, heat rose to his face. Scenes from the previous night flashed through his mind. Cheong-ra got up from his seat and approached the table. Although he had only been strangled while sitting, his body felt stiff, perhaps from resisting with all his might yesterday. When he sat in the chair, he unknowingly flinched inside. Even though it wasn't the same one, touching the armrest felt somewhat embarrassing.

Looking back on it, I agree with you yeah. For the sake of his plan, even if he himself was also "moved" by the act, that won't change how he initially intended to utilize Cheong-ra. It's hard to say if his true purpose for him could potentially be detrimental to his wellbeing, or if the statement is just a way to say his own interest in Cheong-ra will die the moment he's fulfilled his part of the plan. It's possible Dang Ran Yeong simply finds it regrettable that someone who he's using as a completley expendable piece could also have the potential to a partner that could finally satisfy his own desires. Lots of big brain thoughts generating for this unhinged erotica today LMAO

Lmao chapter 1 got us like… are they ever going to get back to this scene?? When?? This is true, the fact we are scratching our heads and still reading is because we are trying to figure out what the heck he’s up to. I do think he’s attracted to Cheong-ra and he now realizes that, also doesn’t want to “discard” him but then right after he’s contradicts that by saying “But” it’s too late and it’s your fault or whatever. Like saying I don’t want to discard you but I’m still going to because of who you are. Remember he has been looking down on cheong-Ra this whole time. He doesnt consider him worth considering because he’s a “young master” and thus only there for his use and then throw away when he’s done. Just because he’s attracted doesn’t mean he will change his plans which is basically what he said.. he’s not worth it yet… well in my opinion he hasn’t realized cheong-ra means a bit more than what he originally thought and will probably find himself doing shit he wouldn’t normally do again until he gives in and is like “he’s mine” in true possessive psycho ml fashion

It's hilarious we have to keep going back to chapter 1 as a reference to figure out "where on earth is this going?" 😅 At the very least from my understanding, Dang ran Yeong through this stunt has come to realize that not only is Cheong ra to his tastes, but someone he can't just use (for whatever his inital purpose was) and toss to the side. It's safe to say that the desire Cheong-ra feels towards Dang ran is (contrary to his own belief) going to be reciprocated. I'll argue that I'm more intrigued having the ML's POV be so scarce cause it really makes him out to be this truly elusive figure
