Students hit by a few arrows of dark energy stumbled and fell to their knees. Though their bodies were drained of strength, their mouths continued to babble.
“E-everyone… now’s our chance. If we strike while the inspector is here, we won’t even get sent to the punishment room!”
-How naive. Did you think we wouldn’t prepare for that?-
The knights shook their heads, disappointed by the amateurs’ attempts.
They had already formed a solid siege on the skull principal’s orders.
‘This seems familiar.’
As he dismounted Uman’s back, Yi-Han thought to himself.
It seemed to be tradition at Einroguard that all sorts of uproars occurred in front of the main gate at the start of every semester.
Sensing an opportunity, the students rushed in wildly, disregarding the siege. The death knights adeptly raised magic shields and herded the students in.

I'll give this series credit where its due: it can still make me laugh really hard, AND the school year actually progresses. Some series feel like time stands still

while there isn't an true endgoal yet (or maybe never) i don't mind personally, i like this kind of comedy and... yeah it's always the same loop but introducing new element, like this semester it's uman that change student life, like with doppelganger, the miss pirate, the flood etc... and so yeah the surviving part is more about confronting all those element that comes to yi-han student life! but hey, i'm still laughting about some characters reactions now so it's the most important for me the only problem with this method is that, why you can combine the other characters depending of the situation, it begins to be A LOT, like, no developmeent yeet for the ore that feed on mana, no development about/with the unicorn (apart from using it in ballgame) etc...

....I know this is a weird thing to say over 1000 chapters in but like....nothing really changes in this novel? Like I never feel like we're going anywhere or accomplishing anything. I know comedy doesn't necessarily have to have a point or endgoal but like......when are we gonna get some.....lasting developments? The last major one was the doppelganger dying and he was almost immediately replaced by the painting. And with yi-han becoming more and more subservient, it's less "surviving" the academy and more "this again"
