I could be wrong but i'm sure we were also promised a sizeable update in the past and when it finally happend (way after the date promised) it was only a fraction of the size he said. Hard to believe much anymore

It's strange that every time i read a BD update i get a severe Deja Vu! At this stage he could just copy & paste previous updates as they are pretty much the same old story, suppose it is an update so can't complain too bad.

quick tip: just because you haven't put a specific date for release. stating that "I'm on track to release before the end of this month, though no release date will be stated until things are ready." is effectively putting a date on it, people will now be execting it by the end of the month. So if you want to continue to not date your updates, don't do this.

I have commented on this before, his communcation is poor, when he does communicate he is upfront and frank about what is happening, i just wish the updates were a bit more frequent, he used to do dev reports every week, they don't seem to happen anymore. I'm not saying every update has got to be an essay, it could be 1 or 2 sentences, you could do that whilst on the shitter.

Sorry guys, I've posted a few times in the discord but haven't been keeping all of you here up to date. Essentially, life stuff continued for a while but I kept progressing things with WVM every chance I got. Made me re-align some goals. Sometime this week I'll have an official post showing off around 10 new teasers from scenes I haven't teased already and that post will include new info about the size of the update. I'm on track to release before the end of this month, though no release date will be stated until things are ready. I once again apologize for the continued wait, life stuff is getting out of the way and it's going to be a good summer. Thanks for sticking around everyone, means a ton.

@Nic i dont see any questions on that comments... maybe the one who cant read its you.... Also, stop being a fanboy. I thing all of us have the right by now to complain about the update having a delay of 4 months. Btw, not all of us agree with this "going silent" method he has, its fucking bullshit and annoying since it tooks like 5-10 min per 2-3 days or even a week to write a single comment with a simple update.

Can't you read? Perhaps you need a tl;dr? "I'm going to lock back in and that means *I'll be silent until the update is out*, so if you have any questions or anything then those will be answered afterwards."

the real issue is he can't stop over thinking and stay out of his own head thats why he keeps delaying cause he keeps changing things with the update its just as it was last year. if he'd stay out of his mind and just try and not be perfect which is impossible to do no one is perfect this will keep on going and nothing will change

I agree that we should def give him leeway if its family issues but the problem is that he has said this SO MANY TIMES that now it just sounds like an excuse, Would a job allow him to use this so many times without getting fired? I don't think so. Also It is fully possible to work even if you are having some personal issues. Work can even distract sometimes.

Never put a deadline on an artist? What world are you living in? :-D If they have a job that they're getting paid for, you can bet your bottom they have a deadline just as everyone else. That being said, BD disappearing for weeks at a time is something we're all used to by now (though I'm certainly not a fan of it). He hinted at family issues or some such last time he wrote so he deserves some leeway. Hoping we'll get some news soon though.

This game updates significantly more frequently than others. go look at Icstor with milfy city. get off the dudes back about missed "deadlines"

People don't complain about waiting, people complain about he is never accurate with release dates. That's 2 different things. Also, not being accurate by 2-3 days its ok, but this last delay was more than 2-3 months since if im not wrong update was planned for end of February. Solution its simple, and many people already tell him: "Dont set exact release dates". Just give us a estimate progress report, and dont say anything about a release date until you are 100% sure you can handle it.

Just here to let you know we appreciate the work you do and have been thrilled with the result. People complaining about the wait would be 10 times worse if the product was rushed and lacking. Take your time, do not pause pledges and hopefully we get a group scene and some more side characters soon!

Whatever you're going through obviously takes a toll on you and it is absolutly ok to concentrate on that. I don't think you need to apologise for that. At least you update the community and tell them that you need more time, instead of just staying silent like other creators do. Communication is key and you're doing it great!

This would be nice if true. I've seen to many devs take 6 month or more to put out an update that had only an hour of play at best. Not setting an exact date is more common and 99% would never pause pledges. Very few have ever done this and Brain has done it more than any other.

Speak for yourself settiing reasonable goals and expectations then meeting them is part of overcoming poor work ethic. Pausing pledges is a great way to show that he can hold himself accountable. Devs who take 8+ months release based on chapters and have much more content I would say hes around average in terms of volume per year.

You gotta take care of you. There are a lot of other developers that only get updates out once or twice a year...some even longer. But you keep us in the loop and suspend changing us because you feel you've you've missed some obligation. You are putting out great work so don't feel like you need you suspend anything. Thing happen we all realize that...you take care of you and the update will come. We've got your back regardless.

How many times do we need to say, don't set dates or pause pledges. Life happens and even with delays you put out far more content than most. Actually games with this style of art are lucky to put out two or three a year and you do more than than that. So keep the pledges and get it done when you can.

BD you have an amazing game here i am happy to wait till the update is finished to 100% satisfied even if it takes ages and i will be staying here as a loyal patron no matter what, take all the time you need and i know you feel bad about pausing the pledges but thats not fair on you you do need to think of yourself too <3

You're making something amazing and if that means we have to wait a bit longer for it,so be it,I personally don't care how long it takes between updates because I know it's all gonna be awesome when it's released.
