We're coming to the end of 2024, I hope all of you are enjoying the Holiday season.
To put it lightly, Dev-wise this has been a year to forget for me. Missed dates, Broken promises, bad communication, in every single way I have been embarrassingly bad this year.
I'm not saying that to beat myself up or anything like that, it's simply reality.
A reality I am 100% responsible for.
It's been a year of poor decision after poor decision, just me digging the hole further and further. I was given 1000 chances this year and I failed every time.
This platform is used to support creators and I was blessed with this community.
The support I've received for this silly little game has not only changed my life but also the lives' of my loved ones.
That support isn't blind support though, it's to aid in the development and release of WVM.
Just to put it bluntly, I've been re-paying your support with disrespect instead.
It's not intentional but at the end of the day it's still disrespect and that's a stain I can never wash off.
All year long I've been stuck on E13. What was originally only planned to be 400 renders ballooned into 1600+ renders mostly due to poor planning and whatever mental block I've had. I remade scene after scene and was just never able to be happy with what I made. It fucking blows to pour so much time into something only to feel too ashamed in it to want to share it with anyone. It also fucking blows to be told constant release dates only for those days to come and go.
This whole situation is in a shit spot and the only one who can change it is the same person who got it here in the first place.
And just to be transparent, this is far from my first time saying things will change. In fact I've said it way too many times with no results. Not to undermine the whole post but the truth is these words don't mean anything, only actions do.
2024 wasn't a complete wash, in all of the chaos and remakes I did learn a lot. With some of the stuff I was trying to do I was forced into new challenges that made me try new things. I've been focusing a lot on feedback, a lot of stuff I tried to ignore in the past and I think I grew a lot from it. I hope the upcoming content will show some of that growth.
I have to get the train back on the rails, So let's talk about 2025.
I have a small list of reasonable and expectable goals.
- 3500 new renders released (average of around 9.5 a day) (Excluding already made content like E13 & E14)
- At least the first week released of the Season 1 redo
- All Character Sheets released (Needed for the redo)
- Jasmine DITLO & Harper Uncensored DITLO (After things are going smooth)
- Some level of side content or just for fun stuff (After things are going smooth)
I have to prove to myself that I can still do this, I have to prove that I am worthy of support.
I'm holding myself accountable to these goals. If I can not hit these then I can't do this anymore, it simply isn't fair to all of you. WVM would then just continue as a hobby.
There will be a post at the end of 2025 seeing how things went as well as monthly check ins to see if I'm staying on track.
With all that said, I sadly have to end 2024 with one last L on the pile, the rest of E13 will not be ready by the end of the year. I really wanted to end this year with this weight off of me and I fucking tried but if it could go wrong right now, it did. The problems are not major and they will not turn major.
The content is all figured out but I'm dealing with technical issues as well as some life stuff that's been in the works for a long time. Just too much shit landing at the worst time.
Super fucking sucks, I'm frustrated beyond belief with it all but silver linings. This gives me a chance to start 2025 with something I wasn't able to do in 2024 and that's hit a release date.
Sunday, January 5th, 2025. The rest of E13 will be released. I really want it to be sooner but I don't want to give a date without being able to guarantee it and with the life stuff this is the first day that I know I can have it out by. This release will be available to all tiers straight away including former patrons (patrons will have access to the post here, former patrons will have access via the discord).
While I'm on the topic all of E14 will be available to former patrons too as previously promised, though all of those releases will be tiered but sped up a lot. (2 hours between tiers)
I will also be doing the same for a handful of updates past E14 (Though these will follow the normal tier release schedule)
Once again, none of you owe me anything and I owe all of you a lot.
Your money is your money and there is no current need to pledge. You will still receive everything for a while including all of the character sheets when they're released.
I am sorry for all of the frustration I've caused. I hope to leave most of this shit behind in 2024.
The last thing I want to touch on is communication. I fucking suck at it and I always try to overpromise things which leads into a vicious cycle which leaves me in situations like this one currently. This release date for E13 will be the only release date given in 2025.
I will have a weekly progress report with no text, just an image with numbers and a teaser or two like the one in this post.
There will also be the monthly report going over the month but I won't talk much about future months.
Alright, I think that's enough for one post. I'm once again so sorry for taking so long but I will see you guys on the 5th. I'm excited for you guys to see these last few scenes. And I'm excited to put this behind me on get onto releasing E14.

Am i happy waiting so much? Not really, but i also know it takes time to actually make it. It's your own fault for making it so good that people are getting annoyed and angry. Although from what i've seen from some comments there is a few people taking it way to far. One thing is for sure though, would love to have weekly updates here even if you haven't progressed much. Atleast that way we know it's still getting worked on. Cause me personally i can't wait to see what happens with Rain, Purple & Orange later. Especially Rain, but i'm also ready to see the basketball part of it and what's going to happen between MC & Cedar. Hopefully seeing all that ain't too far away, but anyway hope you are doing good. And try to remember alot of us are not actually angry or annoyed at you^^

No one hates him, they are upset because they have been supporting him for so long with very little in return and they do care about this game or they wouldn't still be here showing they are upset, I do care about the community that doesn't follow blindly, and I have no ill will towards him. I want him to be well so this does reach it's completion but yeah I will be upset when I been giving him money and don't see much in return but the biggest part the upsets me is the lack of communication. We hear from him and then sometimes it's a month or more before you hear from him. I know I have been a bit of ass on here...honestly a lot of us have including you to raise his and your feelings up like they matter yet dismiss the people who are upset like their feelings don't matter. I just wish he would communicate better and more often and stop procrastinating so much. Nothing is perfect, not me, not you, not this story. So he doesn't need to torment himself trying to make the impossible possible. And your right life throws curve balls everyday at us. It's up to each person to decide if they adapt and move forward to make it back to happiness or stay still let it slow them down and dwell on it and let it cause them unnecessary anguish.

Gotta agree with this sentiment. Get the main game under your belt and then you can think about improving it or adding on some extra. The only way to make good on all the fuck ups is to keep moving forward, not back tracking.

Ngl this is one of my favorite games of all time. Never before have I felt like I could put myself in the characters shoes. You are the most amazing creator I've ever had the experience of supporting. You may not be able to make deadlines but who cares? It's just gonna be that much better when it comes out. Honestly shouldn't do a redo until the game is done with, cause you clearly cant keep up with just the main game. Also you really need to only post if it's an actual update for the game at this point to stop yourself from being unable to fulfill your promises. I'd much rather hear nothing from you for 6 months and randomly get an update to the game, then be told time and time again an update will come and nothing to show for it.
