Update on Maids and Maidens
🕑 Added 2024-03-12 13:30:05 +0000 UTCI'll just be honest with everyone here, for the last month or so, I have not worked on Maids and Maidens at all. I have just not enjoyed working on the game, and I have not been happy with where the game stands right now.
When I started working on this game back in 2020, I expected it to be done by now. I hoped I would be done with it by now and move onto other projects. I'm not blaming anyone else but myself for that. I have made the game more complicated than it needed to be, with too many characters and too many storylines. I thought I could handle it, but sometimes I just don't have the motivation to deal with it.
My revenue streams have also not grown in a substantial manner. Again, the blame is on nobody but me. The first impression is what matters the most in a crowded field, and I failed to make that first impression with my game. When I look back at some of the early renders I made, I want to throw my computer in the garbage. But none of this should matter to you. They are my own issues that I have to deal with. And I will deal with them. In the meantime, Patreon charges will remain paused.
I just hope I'm not burning bridges permanently with my supporters. I hope you all will be forgiving and keep supporting me the way you have done in the past.
I still love the characters I've created, and I won't abandon my girls. Maids and Maidens will return.

I can't speak for the others, but for me the game is great, immersive and fun to play... The characters are all relatable, enjoyable and fun... I can't say I know first hand, but I can imagine that the work and complexity grows exponentially with each addition... However, in my opinion, all this gives great depth to your game, makes it live, interesting and I can't get enough of it... You shouldn't feel so down because we support you and are here because find what you created amazing... Take your time and do not stress too much... All good things take time and you created something amazing... You deserve time to rest and refresh your mind... We stand by you, always... ☺️

Like others I appreciate your work. I don't think you should beat yourself for 2 reasons. #1 you communicate with us more than most Patrons that I have had dealings with or seen over these last 4 years I have played these games. I really appreciate it as well I am sure the others do. Some don't show up for a year and expect people keep funding them. #2 stop beating yourself up about how bad you think your work/product was/is-- no shame is attached. As a lifelong mentor and provide staff feedback, you are growing in your work/hobby. We have all enjoyed seen your work grow and improved. I really miss the updates but like others wish you good health and fresh mind. Just--take a deep breath-- continue with your story--I don't think it is too complicated-- I am not looking just for a game/VN with wham bam stuff-- but a good story which yours and a few others have shown.

Take your time. you could try to find a where you could end things nicely and come back later to do a part 2 after working on something else. And i think your earlier renders are fine.

It’s ok if you need a break. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Your game is very enjoyable. I would not be on here is it wasn’t. It has a great story line, love the characters, and it super sexy and fun. 🤩 It just one of those game you can play over and over again and not get bored of it. I’m proud of you, you created something great. You got this. 🤗😊

Personally, I'm fine if you need a break, your physical and mental health are both important after all. Not to mention that you've been working on this project since 2020, so burnout is to be expected. Take the time you need to rest, recover, and recharge, I'll still be here when you return. Plus, there is still a silver lining to this experience. You'll be better positioned for your next project after you've finished Maids and Maidens given what you have learned from working on said title.
