Talking Critic - Sherman, Woman and Child
🕑 Added 2017-10-13 17:55:58 +0000 UTC Jay Sherman returns for a second, short-lived Fox season with a new look, new movie parodies, and, most importantly, a new girlfriend. And as Coming Attractions faces cancellation for the umpteenth time, Alice just might have the feminine touch to ensure people no longer mistake Jay for a bear who likes key lime pie. Listen in, and never forget: ALL HAIL DUKE! DUKE IS LIFE!

For most of my childhood, we were rarely able to get Fox on our TV since we lived out in the middle of nowhere. I missed most of the Simpsons until we got cable and I watched them in syndication. However, I somehow saw most of the Fox season of The Critic when it first aired - must have been an especially good few months of reception.

Oh! So I was re-watching this episode last night, and does anybody else notice Jay's like, waddle? whne he's approaching Alice and Penny for the first time? No wonder Alice sprays him! He looks like a creeper! There's several Youtube Poops (here I go with the ytp references again) based on this episode and they all make fun of that scene.

seriously?

I've listened to so much of talking Critic. What's with Diana making noises in agreement to things people say? She's always interrupting people and I can't tell what the people she talks over are saying. Sometimes just repeating what people just said. Ugh.

While the Country Bears are long gone from Disneyland in California, they’re actually still kickin’ at Walt Disney World in Florida and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/country-bear-jamboree/
Matt Bixler! Hello!
After the huge rave in the Itchy and Scratchy Land episode about Bort being a perfect Simpsons bit, I really think the same can be said for the entire "Duke is life" scene for The Critic. It's my go-to joke when I'm trying to sell people on the series.

Jay’s comment about the money, “I was giving it to my good friend, Crazy Postman” is my line of the series. Perfect delivery.
