The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 20/Sept/2019
🕑 Added 2019-09-20 13:02:00 +0000 UTCIt was a shorter week for me as I took Monday off to rest, which I needed even more than I realised, hehe!
But it certainly helped give me that boost of freshness I was looking for! I want this last chapter to end strongly, not just because it's the end of the story but because I hope people will also want to come back for Book Three! :D
I managed to get up to the first split scenes based on a branch that was introduced in this book. It's pretty exciting getting this put into motion ready for later books…
I'm going to work over the weekend as well, as I would really like to get these split scenes finished as there's plenty more split scenes during this chapter. In fact, you go from this one almost straight into another one after, then there's the split for LI POVs, then the LI scenes with the MC. So this chapter is a lot of writing.
So yeah, bumping along well on this chapter and just pushing forward now I'm so close to the end!

For Update+ this week, I thought I would share a fun carnival moment:
"I stumbled into this lot about an hour ago coming out of the haunted house."
"There were zombies!" Cara cries with her eyes wide as saucers.
$!{adam} freezes to the spot. "What?!"
$!{nate} smiles down at the girl before nudging ${adam}'s stiff frame with an elbow. "She meant fake ones in the haunted house…"
"Oh." ${adam}'s tension eases. "Oh, of course."

I can't even imagine how much extra work it is to do all those different possible branches and split scenes, but I know it'll just make the final piece that much better! :D hope it continues to go well, but don't forget to take care of yourself too!

Man, the branching sounds so complicated at the end! Im super excited, even when you talked about it before I really didnt expect quiet so many in the book. I cant wait to find all the little differences while playing. 😁 have some pastries cause you definitely deserve them!

I really dislike zombies, but now I've written that, I guess they are, lol! This is what happens when you write spur of the moment humour moments! It can change the entire world you've created :D
