There's some serious physics problems with the finale. In order for them not to die from the Martian lack of atmospheric pressure, the ice vapour would have to fill up the entire planet for the gravity to compress it to the point that it balances out the outward pressure of the gases in the human body. That would take a while. So them recovering after some vapour washes over them makes no sense. They may be able to breathe but their eyes are still popping out lol.
