The spell book
I have a question about the August update, though (that's the one coming next month, not tomorrow).
What I'm looking at for this one is to introduce spell casting for Az'ea. This won't be a wildly complicated system to play with - it's basically a way to hit a button and trade some increased portal power for another stat - and even implementing it into the gameplay shouldn't be too hard, but making the spell book and the menu look good is going to take a bit of work. We're hoping for a nice, slick, spell-book design.
Content in August
Therefore I was planning to go for some pretty modest content updates in August; a few short sprite-based story scenes and some new events, because Hulusay will need his schedule clear for making the spell book work, and implementing complex scenes still would take him a while.
This would also give me (as a writer) and the artists more time to work on content for the future, which would be a nice opportunity and would help keep the schedule on track. This release is almost ready from a writing and design perspective, so it'd be nice to get the go-ahead from you guys.
The question:
Still, I just wanted to check this with the patrons, because I usually try to include something sexy or failing that something heavily character based for every release, and apart from a few interesting holding court events, the spell book update wouldn't have that; it's pretty much just a gameplay expansion.
I also haven't made this a poll because I wouldn't know how to best interpret the responses - we need to do this sooner or later, but I'd like to know: does this sound fine for the August release or do you think I should do something else?

I think I might even spread out the gameplay updates more widely than that, but you're right. As you say, I do think having the extra choices for the player that come from access to things like spells and Delia's potions (which are also in development) will improve the game a lot and once those basics are in place there's a lot more room for new content, too.
Just Bones
Since I like sexy updates like everyone else, I also think it's important to have the basics. Like the Spell Book, Potions, hold feast or battle against other nations etc. So the player has a set on options what he will like to go for, like do you want the magic buffs which helps you for better cleaning or potions which helps, that the maids better lern. Only ideas ^^ So if there is an update without the sexy, i think that is fine, mabye one monthe sexy update one monthe gameplay. Hmm long post, sorry.

As a rule I do think it's much better to have some sexy content every release, I admit. I guess that's why I brought it up; I'm just feeling like the spell book probably requires a full month's work time at some point and there's several features like this that I want to knock out in the pre-alpha stage, so I need to find a work flow for us that will allow for that.

I like the idea of something sexy every update, but it sounds like you've thought this through. Routines are nice to have, but made to be broken.
