“Revolution” oil on canvas
🕑 Added 2021-08-22 23:35:40 +0000 UTCI'll share it publicly on YouTube at some point but right now it's just something for you guys to see :)
If you don't know the story: this painting is called Revolution and it’s done in honor of belarusian people who keep fighting for democracy and independence despite of the awful totalitarian regime, oppression and extreme violations of human rights.
The white and red colors are the colors of opposition and the fight for freedom.
I can't quite share this video openly yet because I don't want any problems while I'm in Belarus with my family now (it might sound ridiculous and it is but it's the reality of the country considered to be the last dictatorship in Europe)

I like to paint on wooden boards (that I usually get from jacksonsart.com) but I always paint on canvases when it comes to bigger-size paintings. In fact this “Revolution” painting is done on a linen canvas. I buy stretched canvases from brands that are available locally in Portugal (such as Inart, Creattore, etc.) And I prime and sand them more before painting because I like to work on smoother surfaces.

I’m wondering what type (brand) of canvas material you are working on? Do you ever work on linen?
