We leave for PFW Mens in two days. This is the busiest time of year for us: we have mens week, return home for a few weeks, then women's week. We barely have time to turn around a single video before another video is due haha. Extremely excited, this is gonna be an awesome fashion week.

Last thing I've bought were really cozy tweed pants from Archivio JM Ribot (GBS typo brand). Nothing particularly crazy at the first glance, but they are fully lined with beautiful silk cupro blend fabric and really warm, which is particularly handy in my place.

Whenever I've been critical (and a bit pessimistic) of recent Balenciaga i've said they make clothes for instagram and not for real life. I'm not sure if this is a common opinion or not. I do think they're quite good at it but I don't really aspire to own it because I'm not sure where it would fit in my life. Also, great video.

Your situation is a great example of how this isn't a cut-and-dry issue. Find some clothes that can absolutely get filthy that you also love wearing! Lots of good inspiration from painters and other artists in this regard. Sterling Ruby has a studio uniform that he loves and Julie Mehretu usually looks pretty cool!

This video really got me thinking. At some point throughout the video I kind started feeling like a hypocrite because most of my last purchases aren't clothes that I wear to work in. I wouldn't say that I have beaters, but I definitely have work clothes and past time clothes. any thoughts on this? Important note, I work with mentally disabled kids (meaning I can always get dirty).

One of your best videos again. Reminds me of the first video of yours I saw that ended up making me a fan - the one about paradox of personal style. So many practical take home messages without being overly prescriptive or preachy. Between this and yesterday's video by Rian Phin I see a very hopeful trend towards advocating for sincerity. I definitely feel the "irony fatigue" from most online discourse. Love how you managed to describe that illusive balance of subtlety and weirdness in fashion. It speaks to what I love about this hobby and I wouldn't be able to verbalise it as well. Also, I love what I assume is now a running gag of blatantly misnaming famous actresses 😂

Great video! My beater clothes are reserved specifically for things like gardening or painting- if I’m at home, I’m wearing the same things that I’d wear out of the house on another day. I’d love a look at Daniella’s wardrobe, if she’s comfortable with it!

Random thing but how you talk about emo / your teen years makes me happy. So many younger fashion influencers started with streetwear and as someone who's loved streetwear since the late 80's, it always makes me sad how they're always like "look at me as a dumbass teenager lol" like streetwear aren't to be taken serious and are just for kids. And not so much in fashion, but I know a bunch of people irl who laugh at their emo teen years. Nice to see someone who stands by where they comes from. 👍

Loved this!! I’m really intrigued by the idea of more subtlety in my style I agree that the feeling of discovery is half the fun. And the last piece I picked my is a 2018 ERD Christie’s Paris staff jacket which is a personal grail that I’m so happy to have. I’ve loved ERD for a while and I’m glad that you two agree with me(especially now, they have been better than ever before) thank you for the work you two do it has helped me become a better “fashion person” for years
