My Favorite Things Autumn 2024

It's weird. I've made so many of these at this point, but I never get tired of making them they're just really fun.
I really, really wanted to release this a little quicker than I have been releasing videos and it probably would have released sooner if not for a mild case of food poisoning and a house move. But Hey, I still think this is pretty good.
The move has been going great, I have way more space to work which already is such a massive relief.
I've also released a very small Guide as to how I make videos that I am going to be adding to over the coming weeks that you can find a link to it here, and it's also in the Patriot rewards section. I get a lot of questions about how I make videos and I hope that this helps people. I talk about it all in the doc but It's definitely not THE way to make videos, but it's my way that I've discovered through 9 years of trial and error and I hope people can use it, and it helps them find their own way.

One thing about Dragonball Z always stuck out to me. When I was a kid, my mom was massively abusive. Both physically and emotionally. Dragonball and in particular Dragonball Z, meant so much to me back then that a new episode always was the highlight of my day. One night, my mom came in and decided on a whim that Dragonball was not meant for girls and I ought to turn the TV off (I am a trans dude). For the first time in my life, I did not take it. I threw pillows at her yelling "Kamehame-ha!" feeling like Goku up against an insurmountable foe. I let her beat me, degrade me and insult me every day of my nine year long life but she was not going to take this. When my (non abusive) dad came in, he permitted me to keep watching. So I won for the first time, feeling a bit more autonomous. Without Toriyama's defiant characters, always beating the odds, I would have never been inspired to do so. That a japanese artist could reach a german child in need is such an incredible thing to think about. He truly knew how to make people want to rise above themselves.

John, please make more of these. You say they are lower effort for you, and that is great! Because they are a staple of your channel. I know plenty of people that watch your channel BECAUSE of these. You are a freakish internet hell goblin and we want to know the freakish internet hell goblin things you 3xp3ri3nc3. No matter how small. Show us more often. ๐ (as long as it doesnโt disintegrate your mental health too much)
