>This is the last book? I would like to write more, but I'm not sure I have the stamina for it.

For a while, perhaps. Cognosticon has mentioned being burnt out several times.

GreatCabbage

This is the last book?

Oh god, here we go. Last battle of book 3. And if this is to be the last book, last battle altogether. I loved the glimpse we had of the frontlines. It's nice to see that armies are still relevant in a world like this where people can practically become gods. What I'm surprised by is that people with 50 Power are still fighting in a war like this. I wasn't expecting that. They must be getting cut down in droves. Which I suppose is just war, the progression fantasy setting just highlights how grim and dehumanizing it all is. Compared to book 2's climax, I'm liking the setup for this one a lot more. It wasn't as clear that taking Yulthens meant the definitive end of that war since Krysal was a far larger place than its capital, so even if I knew it was the final battle then, it felt like the scope was a little too focused on one spot. This time, it's made very clear that this one mission means the end of the war. Whatever happens here will have continent-wide ramifications while still having the benefits of being a focused conflict centered around one important thing. The great war is crystallized into this one mission. And this is where the fun of those sub-factions come in! Even if the scope of this mission is just the First Crest and the Commonwealth, there is still a wide range of personalities that aren't just straightforward obstacles. There are the demons, of course, with Anaelina and Lilaetiel being very much simple, unambiguous enemies that the trio will be more than happy to kill. But then going through the spectrum a bit, there's Gorutiel. I think he'll end up being another enemy they do have to kill, but he has more complicated motivations so it's not as simple, even if the conclusion is the same. And there's Troulon, who I think is still 50/50 on whether or not he becomes an ally or not. Maybe 60/40, leaning on not. There's also the Great Library and its personnel as one collective sub-faction, who may or may not be aligned with Troulon at this point. And there's the other parties that are smack dab in the middle. The Savage Heart users are a wildcard. No way they'll side with the demons, but will they side with the trio? There's some burned bridges there, for sure. And what about the Crestguard? Yes, they're an ostensibly independent organization, but they're not a monolith. They'll have to fight some, but will they need to fight all of them? Who's to say there aren't those who decide that they don't want to use their giant battery as a weapon for the demons? And then there's Matiavel. Will the trio have to fight him? There's no way he'll stand idly by while the First Crest is threatened, so even if they don't, he's still a latent factor in all this. So many sides, all converging on one point. I'm hyped as fuck for this. Bring it on!
