Thanks. Sorry I can't keep up with all your comments on RR, but I appreciate that you're still enjoying the story.

I really liked arc 3. I think you really did a great job with it.

Yooo. Let's go! Book 3. I just read book 1 randomly the other day and now I'm here.. it's good to be here!

Rereading the chapter I think I get what you were going for(kinda a it's not going to work but let's give it a shot). But with how out of the ordinary Kai is and the fact that the only insanity we have seen degrade is from the dead waste(area with lots of monstrous energy), I was kinda wondering if something might happen.

to be fair to the elves they did give them an entire Island and quite a valuable one at that. As for the Coiled empress I think she was worried about the balance of power. Remember rosemont does not know how god abilities are created and each faction seems to only have one. The possibility of Elves suddenly an addition one or two would have the potential to be a bigger threat then Matiavel even if so far they have been friendly.

Great wrap up chapter, very much like the choice to spare Troulon felt like a great bit of character progression from Omilaena. It does occur to me though what a valuable resource the Island they now own could be. Besides from the obvious benefit of a secure home base it could also potential act as a training ground they could lend to the frontier elites giving them access to higher energy levels the the dead waste without the risk of being killed off.

I mean, let's be real, if Kai actually consumed anything from an Insanity, he'd be dead lol. We're probably, uh, 5? 7? 9? books away from him eating Insanities.

I'll write down my full thoughts in the Interludes chapter, but this has absolutely been my favorite book by far. It was amazing to finally have the world opened to us, and the tangled politics of a continent so far above Deadwaste really showed the importance of playing them even in a world ruled by personal power. Above all though, this was the book where the trio truly became as one, which is the most precious thing for me. Even before their marriage, we saw their partnership and relationship gradually become sturdier, stronger, more loving - and it was their love for each other more than anything that took them through the gauntlet of Rosemount. Now, standing as one, it's time for the gauntlet of Cloudspire. *Loved* this book and I can't stress enough how happy I am we're getting another! Thank you for a wonderful year of writing! Here's to hoping for another.

Also thanks for the chapter, can't wait to see the gains from their three-way cultivation

Where is insanityyyy A bit disappointed by the elves, after everything they did they get treated like this? Ans the coiled empress getting mad that her own threat was dealt for her????? C'mon

Cognosticon

Yeah, people took that differently than I had expected. It didn't work.

And so ends the third book! Quite a lot happened: The Virgins(TM) got together and resolved most of their issues, we touched base with many old friends to see how things were progressing on Deadwaste, fought in a war and took down one of the major world powers, and we finally made the first steps toward real understanding of the power system. Busy busy... and there's still much to do, with Brightwind and the incursion looming. I'm surprised Troulon survived, but it's fitting. As Omilaena becomes secure with her life, there's less need for ruthlessness, and here she takes a chance on behalf of an old friend, even though there's nothing to gain from it. It's a shame that Ceryyn is being left behind. She's a lovely soul who did all she could to be a good friend, but war and politics stood in the way. I suppose it's the way of things - Juray, Tsuquo, and Inafay were left behind too. Here's hoping she finds contentment with her life, or perhaps become a senior elder. Her open mind will do the elves good, I think. I'm deeply glad that there's going to be a fourth book, and very much looking forward to what comes next!

You... You can't just end the last chapter with Kai taking a bite out of an insanity and not tell us what happened! Even if it failed or nothing happened, we gotta know!
