A message from Mag on behalf of Lost (Update!)

TLDR: She’s not okay but she’s slowly getting better. Life hit us like a hurricane, but we’re coming back! A new blooper reel is coming soon! If you’re interested in details, read on XD
I’ll cut right to the chase: She is not okay. She’s getting better slowly, but she’s not what I would consider okay. This year has been the toughest she has had to face in almost a decade for several reasons, but some of those reasons are very personal and private. However, I WILL tell you what she’s comfortable with me telling you, and a basic overall jist.
Firstly: Mitigating her allergy.
So I’ve been jokingly telling her for years that I think she’s lactose intolerant; come to find out I was half right xD She was getting SEVERELY sick every time she ate any form of dairy. I’m talking: vomiting multiple times a day, curled into herself on the bed crying from stomach pains, etc. We cut dairy from her diet to see if that helped, and almost all her symptoms disappeared! Problem was, it’s not tolerance, it’s a full-blown allergy. And I’ll be honest with you guys, after having milk, cream cheese, cheese in general all your life to suddenly not having ANY anymore… that’s rough. That’s super rough on mental health and stabillity. Food was a coping mechanism that she and I both have over-used in the past, and it was taken from both of us at the same time (I’m on a 100% Keto diet, and have been for the past year, I’m down 180 pounds! And we make the joke that she can have what I can’t: carbs and sugars, and I can have what she can’t: dairy) Good news is that since cutting dairy, she’s lost like 50 pounds too, so there’s that at least LOL.
Secondly: Narcissistic family members from both sides
It’s not well known, but it’s also not a secret that Lost has had a rocky relationship with her parents for years now. Unfortunately this year we found out that her mother was physically and mentally abusive to her grandmother, so Lost and I had to help get Grandma away from her safely and arrange for someone else to care for her (she’s 85 and can’t do too much on her own). She has since cut her mother out of her life, and that’s a hard thing to do too. The woman who is supposed to love you no matter what has been a vile, treacherous, snake of a human being and if I never see her again it’ll be too soon.
Then there’s *my* side of the family. I have a younger sister, I’ll call her T, who is a complete selfish cunt. She got married in February and pissed off and treated every single one of her family members (Lost and I included) like utter shit. Her new husband’s family is also extremely religious and homophobic and would make blatant and loud jabs at Lost and I for being together. T has lied to us, blackmailed us, and even accused me of horrible things I never did. Unfortunately, she is someone we have to remain in contact with for family gatherings and that’s super stressful.
Thirdly: Our fucking asshole of a cat, Alice
So Alice, the dumbass that she is, was getting too fat, so we tried to put her on a diet. She lost weight, but in doing so, she was able to finally jump onto the counter that she was too fat to jump on previously, and she ate A TON of shit that made her SUPER SICK. We spent more than $1000 dollars and sleepless nights trying to make sure she was okay, she had a fever of 104 for a solid 24 hours. It was super scary! She's doing better now, and she's fat again. *siiiiigh* We're working on it, okay?! We have 3 assholes with different dietary needs!
Fourth and final: “Unspecified” Mental and Physical health problems
THIS is the biggest reason why (as if the first three weren’t bad enough). Lost has been legitimately ill for the past 12 months. We would rather not go into the specifics of what we believe she has been suffering until we get an official diagnosis and she is comfortable with talking about it. It has impaired her ability to work, to function, and some days to even communicate. She’s completely stepped away from the internet almost entirely to focus on getting better. She’s in therapy, and once our insurance changes in the new year, we will be getting her more professional help.
The only line of communication to her right now is through me, so if you have questions for her, or concerns and such, I just want to let you know that I’ll be the one to facilitate her seeing it and potentially responding. It’s no one's fault. She has been trying so hard to get better so she can make content again for you guys. But, she has sensory issues at times, and the internet has not been a good place to facilitate her healing.
One of the biggest reasons I’m letting you all know about this is to give the heads up that she is working on a new blooper reel and I have advised her to charge patrons for it. She felt extremely bad about being away for so long, but I’m really pushing for her to get back to normal, that’s a part of her normal. It means so much to her and I both that you all stuck around this year with no word, and are willing to welcome her back with open arms. Of course there is much more than just bloopers in the works, but I’m not making any promises at this time because her health is more important right now. In the coming months I’ll probably take over the discord server and start figuring out game nights and such. Please bear with me, I have a lot on my plate as it is, but I haven’t forgotten you guys!
