the conversation about food stamps reminds me of my old boss complaining about homeless ppl during a work meeting, saying how irresponsible they are and how they use money to buy alcohol or drugs (as if rich ppl don't). "rich" ppl just want a superiority complex over others, even though, like you said, most ppl are closer to getting on food stamps or losing their house than they'd like to admit. I also worry about how much ownership or entitlement middle class ppl have over poor ppl in the food stamps convo. just bc your tax dollars goes towards paying for food stamps does NOT mean YOU SPECIFICALLY should get a say in what OTHER PPL eat and drink. I wish we could choose what our taxes would pay for bc I'd much rather pay for someone's twinkies over weapons of warfare used overseas, but idk

The most recent conversations surrounding the Lyft rapper lady, Lizzo, and Adam Housley’s unsolicited comment regarding food stamps has people champing at the bit to expose their nasty thoughts. Imagine sprinting towards a bandwagon of insecure assholes because you desperately want to dive head first into their fatphobic conversation; that highlights your ugly character. Imagine thinking that someone with less money than you doesn’t deserve to eat whatever the hell they can get. Why are we so shitty?
