I present option 4; this is a mix of option 2 and 3, tell the others there’s a crazy person that killed someone and almost got you. Tell them your still traumatized and need to sit down for a moment. While they gather supplies to kill and fight you go hide near the basement. When you hear the fight start, make your way to the basement and find and escape route. Best case the group kills the thing or worse case, they get eaten while you escape. Is it harsh, yes, but it is an option nonetheless
