Please take good care of yourself. thank you

im guessing comparing the nexus to adjacent realms is like comparing pre ww1 European powers with Vickers -Maxim guns to indigenous people in Africa and South America.

giann flroesca

While Thalmin's sightseer didn't explicitly show air battles, remember his POV when finally seeing WW1. He mentioned seeing the biplanes fighting and what did he say it looked like? "drake fighting" he says, so while it wasn't explicitly showed it was implied. They DO have air fighting in other realms its just that Nexus sky fleets are far more advanced in magitech than anything any other adjacent realm has and as such is virtually undefeatable to the comparatively primitive level equivalents that are the other realms. You have to remember that they saw spacescrapers (meaning way bigger than even skyscrapers), and things future earth people call ultratalls and such and they thought "NANI!?!? THE CROWNLANDS?!??!". This means they saw that gigacity that dwarfs even current megacities today and were able equate that sight the the nexus crownlands flexing THEIR magical equivalents of megacities. MEANING! giga magic civilization with hyper advanced magitech, governed by their equivalent of an immortal godemperor = even thalmin's WW2-esque level of technology becomes very outdated and primitive in comparison so yeah......no reliable countermeasures.

Brachy LP

I just now by Reading the Revision Realized that Illunor Experiences the Uncanny Valley with a COMBSTION Engine that is pretty Good way of Looking at how a Draconic Magical Race might see that

King Jerkera

This was good chapter but I think Emma should foreshadow that WW1 is a point in history that will be revisited again in the future as very significant for humanity?

Salvatore Page

Love the chapter. I do want yo point out some flaws however “ Thacea: You really must stop bookending your statements with such bizarre and flighty proclamations, earthrealmer. The Vunerian….” Ilunor’s and thacea’s names are mixed up. “Thalmin: “You recall our conversations regarding our cars, correct? And the means by which they are fueled?” Emma asked, prompting me to nod in response.” As the same mistake seems to have cropped up here with thalmin and emma’s names being mixed up.

ANTIcarrot

"Until, of course, one of you does.” I think that should be one of THEM does. Alternatively you could amend the ducking and weaving line earlier to say tlit was about avoiding being hit, and also hitting the enemy. Though that's possibly a bit redundant.

OrangeSpaceProgram

Yay. New chapter

giann flroesca

which is to say I really just wanna read 113 completed already lol

Michael Halpern

Thalmin POV mentioned no adjacent realm weilded effective countermeasures to the Nexian sky fleet, so no, even against flying people, they really haven't experienced an air war, not really

giann flroesca

nah bro they HAVE in fact experienced it. As shown in Thacea's race which are ALL flight capable individuals meaning air war is all they know or at least a majority of it and even Illunor's realm had aircraft already, w/c if I recall correctly, was a step-up from drake fighting, w/c again was mentioned by Thalmin. The reason they are shook is because in their eyes manaless anythings shouldn't be able to do this and the way humans did it is so novel and seemingly impossible to them because of how impractical it would be to do in a magical society like theirs w/c incentivizes innovation in a different way with a different way of thinking altogether.

Michael Halpern

war monoliths... GUN air defense crews: huh I guess these dumb asses have never experienced an air war,

Michael Halpern

it's going to be interesting when Emma introduces the concept of planets as we understand them

ethan

Glad I could be of help 😁👍

Jcb112

Thank you for catching that! I just made the appropriate edits! :D Google doc auto grammar corrects that into never which doesn't make sense and it managed to get into the final edit haha.

ethan

"But an open admission meant that I wouldn’t never hear the end of it." This implies he would hear the end of it. Ya had it right the first time
