Ricky being just a really good friend is good enough reason for Jake to be so upset imo, but the scene in question is short and sweet enough that I agree it should have been included.

It should be noted that Jake’s (spiky blond hair) strong reaction to Rickeys death was explained in a deleted scene that reveals him and Rickey were in a relationship, so that would explain him being upset - and the difficulty of then travelling with someone wearing your dead bfs face like oh ok? but they cut it out of the episode for some reason :/
