a little update

not to go into too much detail, but i had a call with a friend late last week that caused me to have some concern about their current mental health state, which is why i drove there. upon arrival, it was clear to me it was much worse than i had even thought at the time.
after days of unsuccessfully trying to talk them into getting some help, we unfortunately will have to move forward trying to get them into a facility as an involuntary patient. i hate doing this kind of stuff, but i'm just not comfortable leaving until i know they are safe and being looked after.
it should only take a couple more days, and then i will head home, likely have a good long sleep and then get back to the grind. i'm so sorry for the delay in content - i did have dollhouse episode 6 recorded before i left so i've been trying to slowly get that edited and up to kinda hold yall over for content!
i appreciate all your patience and kind messages. we will be back at it soon.

Hey Darcie, you're a really good friend and they are lucky to have you. I was in a situation 20+ years ago where I had to have my wife involuntarily committed to a mental health facility, and it was stressful and scary and felt just awful - like a betrayal. So I can imagine you are going through a lot of those feelings right now. Just know that you ARE doing the right thing and helping your friend get the help they truly need, and in the end they will be better off for it. My wife got on the right medication, turned her life around, and has been doing great. I'm sure your friend will do the same. Meanwhile, all this content stuff is simply unimportant in comparison. We'll be here when you're ready.

Dang, I'm really sorry to hear that I haven't been in that exact circumstances before but similar. You're an incredible friend. Make sure you're taking care of yourself though as well. Being in a caregiver role of this sort can be not just physically & emotionally draining but mentally as well. Please don't rush yourself back before you're ready. We'll still be here ♥️
