DDD Part One Poster (aka The Safari Club)
🕑 Added 2021-02-10 21:05:20 +0000 UTCI did some chapter covers for DDD, and made them parodies of famous movie posters. This one's The Breakfast Club!
Puzzle is not a Safari employee, so she's not included, in case you were wondering.
Highres, WIP files and PSDs will be available as part of this month's patreon rewards, depending on your reward tier!

Ok this is very cool! ❤

But why would I add more characters when it’s a Breakfast Club parody image?

Not bad, but since it's about dynamite, maybe you should make it wher everyone is with someone except her. Just a thought.

But it is easier to track a few. And yes people can get hungry for more detail. Why does the game group concentrate on the tossed off NPCs and ignore the plot? Add more bodies and people will want details.
Kadath
I figured, especially since you knew such a deep cut (heh) as TCM2, but it's so hard to read tone on the net sometimes :P

I was joking. I know the Breakfast Club came first. I just wanted to be a smartass. Love you work BTW.
Kadath
I will probably draw more vague background dancers in future stories, but I am always hesitant to do so b/c I just know people are going to want stories about each of them, lol I figure the Safari is closer to something like Spearmint Rhino, so it'll probably have a dozen or two dozen dancers, and then staff like cooks, waitresses, bouncers, etc.
Kadath
I dunno if you meant that as a joke (especially with knife-wielding Ruby in there) but TCM2's poster was a parody of Breakfast Club's X3
Garry Stahl
I understand limiting the cast size. It could quickly get out of hand. The one adult club I have been in (Bachelor party, mine) had over a dozen dancers. Too many for a story situation.
Everfree Brumby
Breakfast Club? Looks more like the poster for ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’.
Pokitlint
Definitely a great cover for a great comic
Kadath
True - and Vera bartends but she’s also a former dancer like Glitter. Ruby could dance too I guess, if they can get bladed weapons and chainsaws away from her lol
Steven Flame
Isn't Glitter technically a dancer too when she wants to take stage? So way I see it four is a perfect number for a cozy little club.
Kadath
No, but they're the main ones that I focus on. I want to keep my cast of characters focused, and it would get too bloated if I kept introducing new dancers. Plus this image is a parody of the Breakfast Club poster, which has 5 characters on it, so I limited it to the Safari girls.
Kadath
It was a big undertaking and gave me a fun opportunity to show more character dynamics. I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, they're quite the opposite to Night and Pat lol
Garry Stahl
Not an issues a question. The Safari has only three dancers? Busy girls.
Illyrian
I really, really love this cover. Honestly, DDD as a whole is probably one of my favorites of yours, despite how much I love some of the Night/Pat cuck stuff. Diamond and Rory are adorable hah!
Kadath
I put a lot of work to mimic the Breakfast Club's poses while also showing the unique personalities of the cast. I think my favs are Night and Vera. I tried to line them up pretty close to the archetypes of the movie, too - so Vera is the jock b/c she's strong, Night is the goth for obvious reasons, Diamond is the mischevious troublemaker, etc.
ghostbane
I really hecking dig this cover. It's very classic film poster stuff that I appreciate the energy it gives!!
No1isHere
It wouldn't be good business ;)
Kadath
I'm not sure what the issue is here?
Xaq
Glitter certainly knows how to rock a suit. ❤️
Garry Stahl
Just the three dancers?
Beatleboy62
Cute!

It seems Ruby thought the movie was "Knives Out"

I was expecting a nude version too.
