Kad has also implied that Regina isn’t especially smart, so she likely IS one of those Jeffery gives grades for sex for. Meaning this may not be 100% a thing she wants to do. I mean, I’m sure she enjoys it and enjoys the attention considering her apparent lack of options. But I get the feeling from this page that if she had better options, and if it wasn’t for grades, she wouldn’t be with him.

The comic does well to portray they issues with Olivia. While it shows that Olivia isn’t doing anything deliberately against them, or anything that affects or inconveniences them at all, it does show that her constant admiration affect them. This page shows the affect that has on at least one of them, and the reasons behind it.

Agreed, deeper characters are far better unless you write them from the start with the intent of just being Disney-tier villains (Frollo, Scar, animated Maleficent)

I can totally relate to that. A lot of writers just start and stop at "this character antagonizes the protagonist" which is all well and good, but in a story like this, it does help to give them a bit more dimension. Hell, I almost fell into this trap myself when writing.

YOOOO IT'S REGINA! LET'S FUCKIN GOOO! Ahem, favoritism aside, this was a nice turn of events, and I like the brief moment of depth we get with her in the last panel. Even though we're about to watch a sex scene, you still put some character in there, which I like.
