A pustule of rotting wood
🕑 Added 2017-06-08 12:34:19 +0000 UTC Kept putting off doing something about the leaking swell of slowly rotting wood above my studio because I am busy dealing with the "now" problems and plus, what's a leak every now and then, how bad could it get, but it has finally begun its too-rapid collapse and honestly, it feels a little on the nose, universe. Also how convenient that this happens just as I have to find a new roommate and only have three weeks to do so! And in a month when ~no one is looking~
Fortunately, I can just close the door to the studio during showings and they won't have to know. Until they move in and have to deal with the undoubtedly massive renovations.
Anyway I am staying chipper about it! Most of the roof is still there, after all.

I was outdoors on a sunny day and the only shade was the shadow of a bigger than necessary American flag. I thought to myself "this is a metaphor". And then the wind changed direction.
If you hadn't decided to move across the country, I would have volunteered to move in and live under your bed and steal pets and ear scritches from Spoons.

Oh no, good luck with your roommate search! My new one just moved in and he seems mostly fine and unlikely to eat my skin anytime soon. I hope yours is at least equally charming!
