Sorry! I've been genuinely surprised at the reaction to chapter 4, and how mixed it's been.

I know I commented on LitE about how much this (and the next interlude) gutted me, but 4 hours later and it was STILL affecting me! There's only one other time in my life where something written affected me so much, and that was from a textbook in English 101 about a 1st person perspective of a concentration camp in WW2. Even though it DID gut me... VERY effective writing!
