maybe the listener could be the last guest at a pool party, where they were too shy to swim, and the host (popular girl) invites them to swim together, just the two of them, now that everybody else is gone, OR, the listener’s crush (friend) invites them to their new house to test out their pool, and after the speaker almost drown, they decided to tell the listener how they really feel about them :)
