Aw Aira ♡ ♡ I know exactly how hard the pressure of imposter syndrome and creative blocks can weigh down a creative project. As others have said, Mermay is when you post in the spirit of things, not the exact 'date' like an assignment! Being 'slow' is absolutely fine. Masterpieces and art in general take whatever time they (and you, as their progenitor) need. I'm giving advice I, myself, don't follow (lol) -- but try to remember to give yourself compassion when you're struggling with things (life, creative/professional work, etc)! You've done an *amazing* job with this AU and this piece. It's absolutely gorgeous; the eroticism and anatomy (fantastic & human) are just... wow. Breathtaking. All the details.... GOD that last little pop-out panel at the bottom with Enji holding Hawks's ass while he guides Enji inside... !!!!! hghgfmfm I love that we can see the vague blur of the ship run aground in the background of the last panel. Enji kneeling on the rocky beach, totally lost in sex with Hawks--whatever former dedication he had to resistance utterly gone, totally committed to this tempting, terrific creature. It looks so intimate and dazed (Enji lost in that good good birdy sauce), and that claw-foot arch/grip on Enji's thigh!!!! I wanna eat this piece. I'm gonna dip it in delicious delicious hot sauce and cry happy tears over this whole AU. ♡ TYSM for your hard work!!

Gods I’m so sorry to hear you struggled with this piece but it was WELL WORTH the wait on my end. I CANNOT stop staring at it. The details in Hawks’ jewelry (I love that so much of it is clearly salvaged from the sea!), the way Enji’s massive hands grip Hawks’ thighs (you’ve really managed to make it look /tangible/ with how his fingers dip into Hawks’ skin), the emotion that radiates off the page despite there being no dialogue or other cues (can never have enough of a man so desperate he breaks through his rope bindings)…this is such an INCREDIBLE work. Every panel is beautifully rendered, and your anatomy is FLAWLESS, despite the more extreme size difference (and the bird talons—which, by the way, are also /stunning/???) 🥺💕💖💕💖
