I just love how they went into detail once again into the monster's habitat. We thoroughly understand their hierarchy, way of life and the conflict of hunting innocent creatures for money.

lol despite his antics, Ranta's doing his job. Also, you're looking at this through the protagonist's lens, so it made sense that Haruhiro's the one you sympathise with. Nevertheless, Haruhiro pointed out something important, which is how he hasn't really tried to get along with Ranta. Once he became more objective, he understands that Ranta's pretty thoughtful in his own way.
