How to Voice Act?
🕑 Added 2021-01-27 10:38:23 +0000 UTCSo... It's looking incredibly probable, due to the now steady increase in funding and patrons, that we will actually hit the Voice Acting goal sooner rather than later. O_O What are you doing?
Anyway, to not get caught unprepared by the eventuality, we have to start planning... And we need your opinion.
There's two ways the voice acting goal can be fulfilled.
A) By Character - higher tier-patrons are going to nominate and then all patrons are going to vote which character you want to see voice-acted first.
B) By Scene - higher tier-patrons are going to nominated and then all patrons are going to vote which scene in the game you want to see voice-acted first.

I’d also think that it would be a good idea for the VAs to see the scenes as they work through their scripts. That way they can properly tell what sort of tone they need to use for certain scenes.

I agree; it seems easier to give someone a script of all that character’s dialogue than to go scene by scene or chapter by chapter; that said it may help the final product if the VA’s can hear and therefore play off of the other characters, so it may be prudent to have the biggest scenes (like barito, the mines, the tournament conclusion, and the fight with “Kevin”) done as one

Sorry but to me by Character makes more sense, as you can have one person go through the entirety of that persons dialogue rather than having multiple voice actors working on a scene at a time.
