Falcon 9 is now the first commercially certified rocket by the FAA. This allows SpaceX to sell Falcon 9 to other operators (deep pockets) just like Boeing sells airplanes. This means that new operators, new companies and more flights are on the way. It means there is now a Falcon 9 maintenance manual and illustrated parts catalog both of which had to be approved by the FAA and there is now a complete maintenance program also approved by the FAA to allow other operators to work on them. This means that space exploration is about to explode. It usually takes years to get this far through a certification program because of the red tape. I used to do this kind of work so I know what they had to do. Honestly I was shocked they made the announcement.
