I know this makes me sound like a total killjoy but you might be thinking of “impulsive” as opposed to “intrusive”? Intrusive thoughts are upsetting & often violent thoughts that ~intrude upon~ your mind, are completely opposed to your core moral beliefs, and are often common in people who have anxiety/ocd/adhd. Impulsive thoughts are the annoying urges you get to do silly but ultimately harmless things like wiping at chalk! Totally different, but often used interchangeably with one another 💕

Oh my god this happens to me at my current job but instead of chalk its a whiteboard i do that has fancy lettering and little pictures of food on it that kids CONSTANTLY touch and smear to see if its real.

Sometimes I’d redo them but sometimes I was just like well everyone gets to see smear art the rest of the day cause I had too many things to do 😂
