My ability to socialize with strangers depends on convincing myself that social interactions like this don’t happen (to quiet my anxiety). If this happened to me it would send me straight back to middle school psychologically

Yeah the teens today are a lot kinder and cooler than when I was their age. But I do think covid stealing a ton of their formative years had a massive effect in ways we probably won’t unravel for years… not caring about a baby bird is probably this person’s unique issue tho 😭

Teenagers are something else lol There's plenty of great kids and teens especially in the more recent generations, but it's still so jarring to encounter the occasional rude or apathetic and self-absorbed teen. Especially when it comes to animals, because who doesn't like animals at least a little???
