Idk if it was theory or fact but someone was telling me that, that was why he was itching , because his body was denying his given quirk that wasn't suited for him. AND the yellow ring quirk he was using to fly around was ALSO his ORIGINAL quirk, That's why when he (shigaraki) was using it, he was using better than any of the other quirks

All for one really - convinced the dad to hate hero's and have tenko - took away the quirk Tenko was born with - gave him a purely destructive copy of Overhauls quirk (literally from child Overhaul) -convinced the dad to beat his kid... etc etc like f****ck

I just seen this somewhere else and they you had to put the clues together to figure it out .. the quirk all for one copied/changed and gave to shigaraki was overhauls quirk .. minus the reconstruction part

In an interview the author had said the quirk where AFO uses the gold ring type things to fly around was shigarakis original quirk, a better version of float called Soar he would of gotten from his grandma

Don't forget the other heroes had to deal with other villians since there were many of them as well. It's only after dealing and subduing most of them that they are able to finally gather together to defeat that last boss.
