Going through your schema series now and really appreciate this content. Wanted to comment on the “I sometimes worry people close to me will die soon.” I have the abandonment schema heavily and this is one that I actually do have. And I’m not sure why. I have these moments where I’m like “everyone who you care about will eventually die” or even cuddling with a partner and thinking “one day I won’t hear their heartbeat anymore”. And I’m not sure why exactly but as a small child (5-6 years old), I actually had 3 different friends lose their fathers in a short period of time (motorcycle accidents, heart attacks) and I even lied one day and told a friend that my dad had died and I don’t know why. He worked a lot and was gone a lot but something about losing people to death just stuck with me.

Hmm. Maybe an alternative to “they are subconsciously attracted to” could be “find themselves in relationships with.” It gets the idea across without sounding as active.
