Mom's health and the future.

The Hospital made their decision.
In light of mom's mental issues and general health, they have elected to *not* put her on the liver transplant list.
Their fear is that the trauma of the transplant, the time she'd need to spend in the ICU, and the recovery will have an exacerbating effect on her mental state, and they cannot trust her to take care of herself long term as a result. This is in spite of my willingness to be around and support her. If Mom cannot be trusted to do it herself, they will not transplant.
And so I am very uncertain what the future will be for her.
Keep in mind she is 'fine' at the moment. As fine as anyone can be with a liver slowly failing.
I really just need a medical win.
