Yeah, that's probably why I didn't go too hard on him in the movie lol, I completely forgot about the mirror of Erised so that makes perfect sense!

Nice! Movie-Ron is a lot more annoying than book-Ron, but generally Ron's big arc is dealing with insecurity and the resulting jealousy. His deepest desire as shown in the mirror of Erised is for fame and recognition (he's Head-boy and Quidditch captain in that reflection). It doesn't help when you have wildly popular siblings and the world's most famous wizard for a best friend! Looking forward to keeping up on HP along with you from this point on :)
