#325 - Teaching My Wife To SHRED! (4 Beginner Exercises)
🕑 Added 2024-05-16 14:30:01 +0000 UTCMy friends, we didn't do a beginner/early intermediate lesson in a long time - so I thought it would be a good idea to bring out Nata again :) In this video, I help her with fixing several picking technique issues, as well as the unwanted noise she was struggling with.
In case you're a beginner or early intermediate player as well, you can download your practice files for this video here (tabs, guitar pro files, play-along videos, backing tracks): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mhrBRutoCR8i_jfc2c5dwwaXQO9FY171?usp=sharing
No matter your skill level, revisiting the basics here and there can definitely help with cleaning up your technique. I honestly wish I started out with these exercises, so I hope these 4 simple workouts will help! :)
And as always, I also made a Dropbox folder in case Google Drive doesn't work for you: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/r6fopp354ma80vtqaiuhp/APDIa8y11Oy_ZQhz51vZnfI?rlkey=us9vkv5sk523ckspsb8bzz1do&st=b8ptfsee&dl=0

Looks like you guys are about to have a kid. Those smiles have way to much of a parent vibe. :)

These kind of videos help me personally a lot, cause I'm a returning guitar player after about ten years of absence. I was self taught and played mostly horror punk ("three power chords, some blood and some whooohooohooo") So my technique was pretty sh*tty, I guess. When I started again, I knew I wanted to focus on exact these things. Minimize string noise, clean fingermovements to build up speed etc. So THIS kind of videos really help identifying my weaknesses, although I'm still working alone. The rest is pure willpower. (I wanna chug and shred, not play slow but clean ^^ But you gotta respect the basics.)

Of all the lessons I have watched as a true guitar beginner, THIS was absolutely the most helpful! Thatβs why I joined! Please continue this series!

This is awesome... I just bought my wife (who is disabled and going stir crazy) a short scale bass to start her musical journey π€π»ππ»
