Ad-Free: Hideo Nomo's unprecedented no-hitter at Coors Field needs a deep rewind
🕑 Added 2025-08-12 21:11:59 +0000 UTCHey pals, Will here, publishing on behalf of Seth while he's on vacation (after having covered for me while I was on vacation. We're taking breaks! Work-life balance! Huzzah).
Sorry for the delay on getting this up, but wanted to make sure the Scorigami live screening had enough breathing room. Y'all kind of got a sneak preview of this when we did the episode extension about Don Nomura, which in case you missed that here you go!
Hope you enjoy, we'll be back later in the week. Love you lots (from both Will and Seth. And everyone else probably).

The final line of the video has got me emotional. "Thank goodness they saw it in Japan."

What's wild is this was his first of two no hitters. Only a small fraction of MLB pitchers throw even one, he had two during the steroid era. The second was the first ever in Camden Yards.

Bananas. Throwing a no-hitter in Steroid Era non-humidor Coors is bananas.

OK but are we going to talk about how Don Nomura looks just like Shane Gillis?
