I'm debating on making a build like this for a level 20 one shot. I was thinking of taking the rest of the levels in paladin. My DM is okay with epic boon feats if we meet the level prereq. Spell Recall seems very enticing to not expend spell slots for paladin

Was thinking about what I would do level take it to level 20 and getting 6 levels of paladin would be tempting but I might go Valor Bard or Eldritch Knight for the cantrip extra attack. 7 levels of Valor also gives you the very thematic Fount of Moonlight.

If expanded rules (as D&D Beyond calls it) are allowed, doing this build with goliath (fire) the taking the Giant Foundling (fire) background and Ember of the Fire Giants gives you a stack of fire d10s to add to attacks and an AOE that deals a little damage but also requires a Dex save to not be blinded.

Give me a feat that gives plus 1 attack and damage bonus and gives a legendary save once a short rest... and if used by a rogue can cripple concentration checks..... mage slayer is the best feat

Love this, and it's very similar to the build I'm currently playing, though I went with Aasimar and we're allowed to use old material that hasn't been superseded by 2024, so Booming Blade helps offset that level 5 slump a bit. I'm taking Eldritch Smite earlier than you are, but that's mainly so I can combo with the Grave Cleric's Path to the Grave for one huge double-smite nova attack against boss monsters.
