Not finished but once again WOTC munchkins at work. Why have a class if you are going to create PC’s that are yet another exception to the design?

Abobych

1) Could anyone please explain why dragon’s breath is not considered a magical effect? Seems pretty magical to me 😅 2) I think level 6 feature should scale, probably via dice scaling. For example: Countering: Cantrip-1 level: 1d4 SP 2 level-3 level: 1d6 SP 4 level-5 level: 1d8 SP 6 level-7 level: 1d10 SP 8 level-9 level: 1d12 SP Scales too much? Okay: Cantrip-3 level: 1d4 SP 4 level-6 level: 1d6 SP 7 level-9 level: 1d8 SP I think it’d really help this feature to stay relevant. You can always convert counterspell spell slot to 3 SP, so if you think that it wouldn’t work, this feature wouldn’t help Alternative ideas: - Make it castable for free X times per day (once/twice/Charisma) - Make it castable for 3 SP and/or make the spell slot/SP not be spent if counterspell succeeds

John Oakley

I really like this one. I don't have a lot to suggest/change other than the lvl 3 radiant fire feels weak, maybe do 1/2 damage on success? and it would scale at lvl 14 too.

Keegan MBG

You misspoke a couple times on the 18th ability Chris. Worth noting to be fixed before it releases on 2/4.

CF

That’d be nice! But I'm not sure we're gonna see a divine soul revision anytime soon after this; kinda sad about that too

Supposed to look a bit like the guy I replace in the original: https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Spellfire-Dungeons-and-Dragons-Cover.jpg

My feedbacks are : 1) Radiant Fire is so bland and weak. 2) Counterspell should trigger Bolstering Flames 3) Innate Sorcery and Crown of Spellfire should create more synergy. This subclass could be the most fun way to play party healer. Heightened & Empowered metamagic could be great selection for this subclass.

Rhaegar Targaryen

I would take this subclass purely for the spell list. And I don't know why Counterspell isn't listed there, but if I understand correctly, I get it for free as well. The other abilities aren't bad, but I probably wouldn't take it because of them. (And for some groups without a full spellcaster or another healer like a Paladin, it could be a great jack-of-all-trades option.) Which is fine. Some subclasses are taken for their abilities while the spells are meh. So in my opinion, it's decently balanced.

Teerlys

It does kinda feel like it's stealing Divine Soul's lunch a bit. I think if/when they revise Divine Soul though, if they let it pick a Cleric Subclass and swipe their list of known spells along with having access to the Cleric list that'd be flexible enough to stand on its own merit, and I wouldn't mind having 2 supportive Sorcerer subclasses.

Charles Hollom

Joining the chorus here that you need to re-record Crown of Spellfire. You get all 3 options and the first one isn’t as good as you said. Must be tough cracking all this videos out. Loving your work!

CF

Not gonna lie, I don't like the spellfire Sorcerer concept. Kinda uninspiring to me, even if it has good benefits. I'd rather they revised the divine soul (also this feels like stealing the divine soul's thunder somehow). That might just be me though

Francis McBee Orzulak

Think you labeled this incorrectly by accident. Says Bladesinger Wizard but it's Spellfire Sorcerer.

Garrett Phillips

One think I need changed: I need Crown of Spellfire to not be a BA, but rather an add on when you activate Innate Sorcery. Otherwise you have to take two turns to use both in the same combat.

Michael Boserup Hesselberg

Agree, all three is applied.

Looking at the monster it's seems like almost every creature has some type of spell casting variant. This will come up quite a bit

Somnireal

It looks like you get _all three_ benefits of Crown of Spellfire when you use that feature, and you don't have to pick just one.

Teerlys

Possible error in the video. Burning Life Force, that I'm reading, doesn't decrease the damage by your Charisma modifier. It's just a number of hit die up to an amount equal to your Charisma modifier + Sorcerer Level.

Trevor E Kortman

You got us Chris! To be fair I might not have started this video right away if I knew it wasn’t about bladesinger, but spellfire sorcerer sounds pretty cool!

There’s No Race Like Gnome

Is this Bladesinger or Spellfire?

Teerlys

Title in Patreon reads Bladesinger, just as a heads up.
