World Mental Health Day Turned My Mental Health Week
🕑 Added 2023-10-11 18:18:08 +0000 UTCHey there brothers! So yesterday was word mental health day & it made me realize how anxious I've been lately... Like SUPER on edge spiraling not only about my blood test results even when my doctor tells me not to, but I've also been really sensitive about the pigs & my comment section. I spoke with a friend yesterday after receiving a negative comment on the recent vlog & vented about how it made me sad how wrong they were & she just reminded me that I absolutely can delete comments that I see that are false about me, my animals, or family. She also suggested I take some time off of IG just so I'm not specifically seeking out DM's or reading other people's opinions & I'm trying to put that into practice this week & decide what I want to do moving forward.
Long story short, some people were clearly upset about me showing in the last vlog how we moved the pigs. I got a handful of misinformed comments coming at me for various reasons because I showed a clip when they were distressed at our first gas stop. I was showing the reality of the situation, but people thought I was for some reason not taking into account that they were stressed? Even when I said in the vlog what steps we took to calm them down? Finley keeps reminding me that the average viewer most certainly has not moved livestock before & doesn't have the slightest understanding of how stressful it is for everyone involved. We simply tried our best & made the trip as swift as possible for them. We love our piggies SO MUCH & to read comments suggesting otherwise truly upset me so much. It also made me think about how I'll feel if I share my future children & receive negative comments about them... Oh lord I can't even think about it! Lol.
This all being said, I've been rethinking how I want to address those comments in the next vlog politely & appreciate any feedback you guys have. It's frustrating that a few critical & misinformed comments have led me here, but I'm truly thinking about how I even want to approach filming & showing them now. Our pigs are so beyond loved & cared for. They have so much land, water, food, love & shelter. I think I'll just start there? Ugh idk man this just all has gotten to me in a way I didn't think it would've. The girls are asleep in the yard currently enjoying the sun & I'm just inside spiraling about how I'll edit the next vlog. Life is absurd! ANYWAY! Thank you for any feedback & love. It has been going a long way <3

You gotta do you babe! Some people will always have a loud opinion, but that doesn’t make them right or give them any right to take away or discredit your legitimacy. We all do the best we can for our babies, hairy creature or human. The people who don’t get that or who can’t be compassionate toward people in other situations do not deserve the space in our pretty little heads, we gotta sweep that shit to the side and say no to their opinions. You are doing so much good for the piggies and doggies, yourself and your hubby. They all love you so who cares what the haters say? Love you lady ❤️❤️

When I saw people doing that on the vlog, I wanted to holler out to those folks, "People! Stay in your lane! Did she ask for your advice???" And I also knew that you, sweet tender heart that you are, would be impacted by the comments. If they knew you at all they would know the degree of care, love and family that encompasses your people/animal household. You have every right to ignore/delete. You are the curator of your online presence. You owe none of us anything. I feel we are gifted by your content, period. We don't have the right to insert our opinions or advice, or turn it into a dialogue unless you ASK. Why can't people just say "Thank you for giving me something else to thing about that isn't horrible in the world today!" or "Thank you for giving me hope, hope in nature, in groundedness, hope in small joys of living." People can be disappointing. But just KNOW how special you are to so, so many.
