War Map Explanation
🕑 Added 2018-06-12 18:10:35 +0000 UTCThere seems to be some confusion about the map I posted. Which is probably my fault. However, I'll write up a little explanation for you $5+ Patreons and let it go public after a week.
To summarize, the map shows the state of the Goblin Lord's army (the red arrow) as it approaches Invrisil from the south. The Human forces are assembling two armies. One, Magnolia's, is gathering at Invrisil. The second led by the mysterious Lord Tyrion is...somewhere else.
What you can see from the map is that Magnolia has a smaller army than Tyrion's. Or if she receives the same numbers, he gets higher-quality troops. Plus, he actually has an army of his own to begin with, so it means that his force will be far larger than hers.
However...he's not trying to block the Goblin Lord. Magnolia's in the way, and while the Goblin Lord hasn't burnt any big cities yet, he's on a collision course with her city.
Now, there are three small details that might be in the wrong places geographically speaking. The crown and small Goblin head to the west are Rags and Laken, respectively. Remember that Rags is by a lake and Riverfarm lies at the crest of some avalanche-y mountains.
I had to work with the existing map because it looks cool, so I couldn't move the terrain around--Riverfarm is probably north and further west of Invrisil, but the point is that while Laken's out of the way of the immediate action, he's too close to the Goblin Lord and a certain raiding Goblin tribe for comfort.
Lastly, the angry Goblin and bloody sword represents Tremborag and Garen's forces. They're not EXACTLY in that spot, but they are launching raiding parties in a wide area, so they can threaten a lot of space. On the other hand, that means the Goblin Lord could easily head towards them as well.
That's all I have to say about the map. Hope my explanation helped (it was needlessly wordy), and I apologize for any inconsistencies in terms of actual geography. I have no [Cartographer] class--I'm barely a Level 4 [Scribbler]. If/when I ever get an actual, canonical map done I'm sure we'll all look back at this and laugh, and laugh, and laugh, and cry...

Pirateaba just said that Laken is to the north and maybe a little west of invrisil. That would put him much closer to the goblins.

It just seems odd to me that Tremborag would cross/bypass Invrisil to harass Laken especially since he hasn't sent much against Rags that we have seen. I guess he could be raiding with goblins in that area to the humans to attack Rag's tribe

Nevermind; I withdraw the question; I guess letting a goblin army smack into her is "out in the open". From 4.06: “Did you just save my life, Tyrion Veltras?” He turned to her as the [Assassin] began to flee. “A [Lord] does not deal with underhanded murderers and plots. If I kill you, it will be out in the open.” Magnolia nodded. "

Huh, not sure what people were confused about. :) It was clear until your comments; but now I have a question. From what you said above, Tyrion is intentionally letting Magnolia/Invrisil get smashed before he swoops in? I read that from: "Plus, he actually has an army of his own to begin with, so it means that his force will be far larger than hers. However...he's not trying to block the Goblin Lord. Magnolia's in the way..." That definitely shades him darker than previously portrayed! (willing to have a major city sacked to get rid of a rival *and* swoop in like the hero, but 'just too late')
