Cannon is right about the architecture too. The buildings are Tudor style, half-timbered houses. Note the difference between the poorer Shiganshina and Trost/Mitras where the houses are made from bricks with tiled roofs. Everything modern is found further inside the walls.

Loved this part. I was so shook when the titans appeared out of nowhere. And Brig is right, you gotta stop here because you won't be able to stop in the next run of episodes. I've watched dozens of reactions and you're like the one and only where you replay parts of the episode because it was so good you just had to rewatch it again. Most reactors just go into discussion mode without rewatching it (though they could always do it offline).

nah, if that was the case they wouldn't have summoned the row of titans. They wanted the scouts plan to go as smoothly as possible until they plugged both holes, then reveal themselves once the scouts had trapped their horses. But that part didn't go to plan since they found reiner before that happened, so the beast titans plan B was to throw the boulder to plug the hole himself

another example of the gap in skills between Levi and the rest of the soliders is that everyone was in shock when Reiner showed up but Levi immediately went into action to stab him. notice how Levi immediately let go of Reiner when he saw Reiner stare at him meaning Levi quickly realized his stabbing was a fail bro the reflex + the the quick thinking Levi has is crazy!
