Yes, the only way to use the founder without being of royal blood is the make contact with a TITAN of royal blood. It’s doesn’t matter if it’s a shifter or a pure titan, which is why eren was able to use the powers of the founding titan when he touches Dina Fritz in season 2. As for the memories thing, all subjects of Ymir are connected via paths, and things like memories and wills move through those paths (this is explicitly stated). It’s different to using the powers of a titan shifter. Also worth noting that seeing the future is the Attack Titans power, not the founders. I actually can’t remember why eren gets the future memories in that moment but yeah.

It's also more than that because in order to keep the founding titan power Historia's descendents have to eat each other to pass one of the 9 titans to a royal. Basically doing what King Fritz made his 3 daughters eat their mother, Ymir.

it was said earlier in both the anime and manga that they must be of royal blood, as well as one of the 9 titans. They didn't want to make historia a titan as she was too important and valued as the queen, dont want her to die in just 13 years.

Someone please explain why do they (scouts and Paradis leaders) need Zeke? Other than taking the beast titan, why did they need him alive this entire time? Eren could have perfectly used Historian to activate the founding titans powers as she is also of royal blood. But instead everyone acted like zeke was so important to their plan that he had to stay alive all this time, rather than get eaten and be done with. Why?

THIS!! I have been waiting for this episode's reaction for so long!! I just hope that you guys can understand why I feel so gut-wrenchingly sad for Eren. I just really sympathize and understand where he is coming from - he cares so much for his friends, he cut off his own leg, blinded himself, suffered in silence... I can't imagine how determined you have to be to go through all of those things! Literally he could not even enjoy his first ice-cream because of the memories of the future. He knew what he would have to do to save the friends he cared so much about, even if it meant going against his own moral compass to kill children and innocent people. In the end, it's the same question that stands for all of us: would you sacrifice a world full of innocent strangers to save the few of your beloved friends/family? Or would you sacrifice your friends/family to save millions of people you never knew and will never meet? I would choose my family. And that's why, "EREN DID NOTHING WRONG!" This boy's story is the epitome of tragic!

Also, go back and focus on Eren when he sees Ramzi for the first time in the market. He is in utter shock and despair because he recognizes Ramzi from his future memories and knows he'll end up killing him..

This show is just too much to handle from episode 1 to the last. And it's unbelievable to think that just one man came up with the entire story. The fact that Mappa used Eye Water during the “What am I to you” scene literally made my eyes water 😭. Not only that, but seeing Eren’s demeanor completely change from when he was talking to Floch and Historia about killing everyone in such a cold, callous way to now crying as he looks on at the people he’s going to eventually kill is just… so heartbreaking.

i am from china and our government kept talking about how japan invaded our country and killed our people and the nape of nanjing during ww2 and now I'm watching the aot which shocked me a lot especially when i realised what is history. and now china has kept google and other foreign net out of the mainland for two decades ，i thick it's amazingly like the wall of paradise. and also japan is a tiny island compared to the china mainland . as a chinese i could well understand Gabi's feeling when she comes to paradise when i use vpn to get over the chinese network wall and see the real world.
